This is an ongoing series I’m doing. Back in December my wife took out 24 drams and called them an advent calendar. We’re onto Day #14.

Turns out you don’t need to pay someone for one of these. Yay! Makes that pay cut I took so much easier to bear.

We’ve been going up in alcohol by volume. What’s next? Let’s see, shall we?

Nose: Smoked apple, char, sultana, herbal, caramel

Wow, that’s a lot of smoked apples. Continues on that, with some variations of rich flavours, some more char. Water brings out caramel and herbs.

It’s like when someone does apples with the main course. That sweet and savoury thing going on.

Taste: Smoked apple, cumin, anise, butter, prunes, lemon
