Macallan Masters Decanter Series + Rare Cask

Thanks to my wife for taking the pictures. As part of the Toronto Whisky Society I was invited to take part in a Macallan Master Decanter Series tasting. While I try to keep any bias from affecting the below reviews, I am human, therefore feel free to tell me I suck multiple times. Well, it wasn’t all of the Master Decanter Series. You see there’s the Macallan Rare Cask,… Continue reading Macallan Masters Decanter Series + Rare Cask

Macallan Edition No .1 & Macallan Edition No .2 & Macallan Edition No .3

Thanks to /u/scotchchick & /u/distillasian & /u/smokedherring for the samples. I’ll admit that I have a bit of a sample issue. In that, I have so many samples that my diamond studded mansion has trouble housing them all. Get it? Because it’s a first world problem and I feel guilty mentioning it! What having too many samples and too much respect for my liver does is I miss out on new… Continue reading Macallan Edition No .1 & Macallan Edition No .2 & Macallan Edition No .3

It would be a waste to have all these great whisky lovers and not ask them for their whiskies of the year! Read below to see what whiskies were the highlights for a … Continue reading Toronto Whisky Society’s Whiskies of the Year 2017

Jeremy’s Whisky of the Year 2017

I started reviewing for Toronto Whisky Society, and made lots of friends and contacts in the Toronto whisky scene. As I reflect on 2017, I wanted to share some highlights. Ill start with my biggest disappointment of 2017. Without a doubt it’s Macallan 12 Year Double Cask. … Continue reading Jeremy’s Whisky of the Year 2017

Macallan 15 1992 Murray McDavid

Second night of tasting, second night of taking time away from the pile of Bruichladdich Port Charlotte samples that scream out all at once and then continue screaming because my tongue hasn’t shot laser beams at them yet. What, how do you taste whisky? So I sat down, and /u/devoz offered me a Macallan. Pretty nice on a human level. If I was a autistic child who… Continue reading Macallan 15 1992 Murray McDavid
