One Foot Cock Bourbon Review – Buffalo Distillery Company

Mashbill: 70% corn, 20% rye, 10% malt.

ABV: 40%

 

 

Recently TOModera said  me to, “Devoz, you have to try my One Foot Cock”, because of the unique nature of our relationship, I told him I would be more than happy to put his cock in my mouth.

 

Below are my feelings and experiences with this One Foot Cock:

 

 

Nose: Light, youthful, corn, cardboard, caramel sauce. This is the kind of cock you could recognize the smell of while blindfolded.

 

 

Palate: light, vanilla, caramel, hint of spice, rather subdued. I am sitting here with this One Foot Cock in my mouth, wondering about the life choices I have made which brought me here.

 

 

Finish: Youthful, sawdust, corn, oak, some maple sweetness, that weird taste you get in the back of your mouth from young bourbon.  Relatively balanced. I have certainly had worse, though wish this One Foot Cock had a bigger finish, it feels a little premature.

Overall: I’ve certainly had bigger, meaty things in my mouth, things that you feel way down at the back of your throat. This One Foot Cock is not that. It is not bad, it is a good start, but I find myself craving something more. More wood, something harder and bigger.

 

 

I am not saying do not put some One Foot Cock in your mouth, just there may be things that are a better fit for some, especially if you have been around the block. Honestly, with time and patience, this One Foot Cock may grow into something we all can share and enjoy together.
