Glenfarclas 17

Glenfarclas 17, 43% ABV, $130 CAD Nose: Red plums, oak, fresh floral, citrus, lemon peel, Smuckers strawberry jam. Taste: Plums, bitter chocolate, chocolate orange, raisins, malt, coffee, and a slight spicyness. Finish: Medium, good viscosity, coffee and chocolate notes linger. Finish: Short, not overly complex, light and mild. Thoughts: What is going on here? This is Glenmorange Original soft. Just really weak and flat. Zero alcohol note, but a pretty basic whisky. Not sure … Continue reading Glenfarclas 21 & 25 year old’s

Bryan’s Scotland Trip Part 1 – Edinburgh

The trip was amazing and included visits to the Royal Mile, Cadenhead’s, a bunch of bottle shops, climbing Arthur’s Seat, an amazing G&T at the Sheep’s Heid Inn and a ton of other stuff. This post covers some samples/drams consumed in … Continue reading Bryan’s Scotland Trip Part 1 – Edinburgh
